How it works and examples
Matching is case-sensitive and literal, not a regular expression. Replacements do not overlap. An empty replacement deletes matches. Example: banana, searching for na and replacing with NA, becomes baNANA. Search is limited to 256 characters, replacement to 1024, and output to 262144 code points.
