How it works and examples
Unicode text is normalized with NFKC and case-folded. Whitespace, underscores and hyphens become single hyphens; other punctuation and emoji are removed. Accents and non-Latin letters remain. Example: Caffè & tè becomes caffè-tè. The result is not a uniqueness check or a full URL.
